I couldn’t go to sleep last night until I finished reading this riveting book (The Sister Wife). There have been other novels that I have read on this subject, but your expertise in writing kept me glued to the page. I wanted to jump in and say “don’t let it happen” – but you told the truth and presented a picture of this grevious cult and the pain that surrounded it. When will book two be available and do you have a title? Keep writing and I will keep reading. — Sylvia
Diane, I have been experiencing some difficulties in my life and I have been singing “How Great Thou Art” to help me get through the days and nights. I used to sing it at church and it has always been my favorite hymn. Thank you for including my favorite hymn in your book: The Master’s Hand. It is exactly what I needed, and when I needed it. Looking forward to reading your next Mystery & the Minister’s Wife Book. — Teresa
Ms. Noble, I just finished reading The Sister Wife and enjoyed it very much. I know you’ve gotten this same question a thousand times, but when is the sequel coming out? I can hardly wait. I read the excerpt at the end of The Sister Wife and thought ‘this can’t be happening.’ How could Mary Rose accept this arrangement but I know it was to keep her family together and now Enid is in the picture and Hosea is on his way to find her. Exciting stuff to say the least. I do hope you’re about finished writing the second in this series. I know my daughter-in-law and I can’t wait! Thanks for a wonderful book! — Brenda, Church Librarian
I just finished reading The Sister Wife and I can’t stop thinking about it! I didn’t know until I finished it this morning that the book just released and I’ll have to wait so long to continue in the story! Thank you for writing from such a deep and compelling perspective. My husband is a Biblical worldview teacher and… although he won’t be as “into” the romance aspects of the plot as I am, I can’t wait for him to start reading it and get this look at early Mormonism. Thank you again and blessings as you continue to write! — Kelly
Got your book on iPad, iBooks, intrigued as a descendant of this story line as is my wife is also. Recent Christians leaving LDS in 1988. My great grandfather a son of Brigham Young and had three sister wives. My grandfather was one of nine children by one of his wives. Therein lies an untold story. I am 86 today. Thanks for writing this series and God bless …
(Same reader continues) Finished reading your book this morning. You put into words the troubling experiences my wife and I have had with family history and its conflicts, the saving grace of our Lord trough it all. Thank you so much. Each chapter I lived riveted to the happenings I knew so well as an ex-Mormon Bishop who as a lad knew well its blessings as well as darkness unexpressed in the hearts of those I loved as they suffered in silence following the edicts of the Brethren. They knew nothing else. We are now the Apostates distant from old friends and family. Thanks again for this wonderful story I can’t wait for it to continue on. —- Walter
My husband and nephew left for a couple of hours and couldn’t believe I read AND finished The Sister Wife in that amount of time. I couldn’t put it down, it was so compelling! The way you described the emotions of the 1st wife was so real that I could feel them myself! I felt like crying with her. What a great and realistic read! — Diana
So limited as to what a person can write on fb “status” area. I posted to ours this a.m., to let our friends know Gene finished The Sister Wife and was totally engrossed in your history and fiction! Our friends know Gene as a old time cowboy and would not dream he’d be “into” romance. They’ll know there is so much more to The Sister Wife, to have captured his interest. The factual nature of it is what has so totally fascinated Gene. To have written into it a very believable story line has nailed Gene! Bottom line, I asked him, are you eager for book two of the series? I received an adamant YES! CONGRATULATIONS DIANE – WELL DONE ! ! ! — Linda
I am an 82 year old lady from Everett, Wa. I read a great deal and am surprised I have not read your books before now. I just finished Brides of Gabriel — The Sister Wife. It was hard to put it down. Please tell me when I can get the 2nd book following this one. Hope it is soon as I am not getting younger! Thank you. I really enjoy a good book and pass them to my 2 daughters. — Shirley
Diane, I have been reading this series of books from Guideposts since its inception a few years ago. I can’t express enough how I enjoy these books. The Master’s Hand is the best story I have read in the entire series. I cried, and Praised the Lord all at the same time. This book really touched my heart, and brought a very clear picture of Christ’s love for us his children. No Greater Love have a man than he lay down his life….. I look forward to many more books from you and will be looking to purchase your brand new series. I hope to see more mysteries in the future that feature Pastor Nehemiah Jacobs and Brother John. What a perfect parable. Thank you so much for your boldness in sharing God’s Love through this story. — Lucinda
I just finished reading The Master’s Hand and learned of your mother’s home-going. I’m so sorry for your loss. Thank you so much for sharing part of her with your readers. She must have been a special Lady. I truly believe this is the best Mystery and the Minister’s Wife book yet. It touched my spirit with so much of God’s love and grace. Thank you for the hours of enjoyment you’ve given me in your writing. — Tandee
I just finished reading your book, Heart of Glass, and loved it so much. I was looking in our library for a good book and found it by happenstance. It was the cover that caught my attention because it had a picture of Fairwyn and the end of her dulcimer. I am a dulcimer player so had to read it. Thank you so much for writing this book. We need more books like it to tell people about the Appalachian way of life and their music especially. I wasn’t raised around Appalachian music but when I started playing the dulcimer I fell in love with it. I now live in Ohio in part of the Appalachian area where there is a heritage of dulcimer playing. Have you written any other books about dulcimer players and their music? I would love to read them. Thank you so much for the joy I found in reading your book. God bless you richly.–Theresa
Dearest Diane, I have just finished reading your book, Heart of Glass. I hope this is still a current e-mail and finds you. There have been many times throughout my life that I feel God’s hand in mine. Many have been times of sadness or fear. One thing is true, “He” is always with me. Your story touched my heart and re-affirmed my constant faith. Thank you and God Bless you and yours. — Lisa
Dear Ms. Noble, I have just finished reading your latest book in the series, Mystery and the Minister’s Wife, Home To Briar Mountain, and for me, it is the best. I’ve read every book, all 20 in the series, since it started. Even though Kate Hanlon and the people who live in Copper Mill, Tennessee are fictional, I feel that I have related to Kate as an inspiration to my life…if she were real, she is someone I would want to pattern; in fact, her character has helped me be a better Christian, more compassionate, and I am learning in a more meaningful way to let others know that I truly care about them by showing love not only in words, but in deeds as well. I am blessed to be teaching a young women’s Sunday School class – a new class at my church…not many of us yet. I get to be the only old woman in the class since I’m the teacher! The phrase that says, “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care,” is ringing so true. Many people believe that one cannot learn anything from reading fiction, but I beg to differ…I know this is not true. Kate Hanlon’s character has played a huge part in helping me to let others know how much I care. Thank you for the 5 books you have written in the series. I have loved all 20 books, and I don’t want the series to end. I know it will end someday, but I do hope it’s still a long time to come. - Gloria

Dear Diane, I started reading your books a few years ago when I had read all the usual books I like to read and a friend at work loaned me her copy of The Veil. That was all it took for me to become an avid fan! Your books show how close the spiritual realm really is as well as how to live with God daily in a practical way. Keep up the good work! I love digging for the golden nuggets of God’s leading in your life that so often can be applied to my own walk. God Bless You and all your family! - Penny

Dear Diane, This is the first time that I have written to a writer. But after reading Angels Undercover I just had to write. This was one of the best books I’ve read in a long time. I laughed and I cried. I was so filled with joy. That was truly a good book. God really has a hand in your life. May He continue to bless you to write books that go to the heart. - Diane

I’m looking at your website again, and I thought you had recipes? I was looking for the oatmeal cookie one and the beef brisket crock pot recipe. I’ve just received my copy of Angels Undercover from Amazon and started it; I may not be able to finish it before we leave on our trip tomorrow morning; but I’m eager to see how it goes. So far, besides the tempting recipes, I’m most intrigued with the problem of the contemporary music and see how that comes out! We are currently going through the very same problem at our church. - Pat

I have enjoyed reading your novels over the years. When you wrote using the pen name Amanda MacLean, my favorite would probably be Promise Me the Dawn, and as Diane Noble I loved Tangled Vines and Distant Bells the best. – Judy

Just finished reading “The Veil.” It was great. Enjoyed the story and was surprised to find the history and background of the story. Amazing. Thanks for such a great story. – Marjie

Dear Ms. Noble, I found you by reading the Mystery and the Ministers Wife series. I love those books and yours were the best. Those lead me to The Butterfly Farm. It was great. I am looking for more Mrs McIver. I was trying to find Those Sacred Bones. In the meantime I will get Tangled Vines and Distant Bells. I love the mysteries. - God Bless, Sue

Dear Ms Noble, I’ve read the Butterfly Farm and I think I’m in love with Max. Hahaha. By the way, is “Tangled Vines” the sequel to the Butterfly Farm? Can’t wait to read it. Hope you’ll write lots and lots of mystery novels in the years to come. God bless and your loved ones…!!! - Kaye, 16
