We have moved part time to the mountains. My last three books have been written in Idyllwild, a little mile-high village in the pines. My muse is actually a gnome, and she prefers the woods. (There are female gnomes, right?) The house we’re renting is gorgeous, beautiful beyond belief — truly a gift from Angel Jan (whose halo shines!) who is letting us fill it with TLC while she awaits a buyer, and while I await the birth of a book.

We’ve had one small challenge. The home  is unfurnished. But along came more angels, showering us with more gifts – from furniture to towels to lamps to kitchen utensils. I might add that “our new home” may be very temporary if the house sells right away, so we needed discards to donate to a local charity when we move out. What we received are some of the most incredible “discards” I’ve ever seen –  prefect colors blending beautifully with interior, comfy furniture, and totally eclectic, which I love. I peek in every room in lovely home and I feel so loved and blessed. I’m also reminded that God sometimes does His most astounding work through others. The last two lines of the St. Teresa of Avila prayer are so fitting: “Yours are the feet with which He will go about doing good; yours are the hands with which he will bless others.”

Two more angels, Dona and Larry,  brought a U-haul full of furniture all the way from their beach home, and yet another very muscular angel, Jim, joined Tom and Larry to unload the truck and carry the things in for us. Not an easy feat!! Angels Bill and Betty, dear friends here in the desert, had earlier given us lamps, towels, bedding — but the incredible thing, everything blended with tiles and/or carpeting and the items others gave us.  I’m still pinching myself.

We’re awaiting Verizon to hook up DSL to get my office fully operational. I’m at home right now — after a mad dash to search for missing kitty (see FB entry for today!) late last night, but had planned to head down the mountain today anyway for supplies and to gather the rest of my research materials for BRIDES OF GABRIEL 2. Prayers please that all comes together and I can get back to my story and characters — plus work in the promotion for the release of THE SISTER WIFE, June 22 — just over a month from now!

Look around and rejoice over the angels in your life today!

Blessings love, joy, and peace …
